Kali Bastone

Registered Therapy Dog

Hi, I am Kali Bastone. I come from humble beginnings. Initially discovered at a shelter in Hoke County, NC, I was pregnant at the time. I was placed with a Peak Lab Rescue foster family where I had my puppies.

I met my current owner, Kristy, at a Peak Lab adoption event in October, 2017 in the Triangle area. The event was noisy—with music, crowds, and dogs barking—but I remained calm and sweet. I wagged my tail and wanted pets from everyone, especially kids!

The vet thinks I was born in early 2016. DNA testing has proven me to be a designer breed --half  Lab, half Beagle--also known as a Beagador! Kristy likes to say that I'm Beagadorable. I'm getting gray around my eyes and muzzle, which makes me look distinguished!

I have been working as a therapy dog since 2020 and absolutely love the work. I am certified through Canines for Therapy.

I love treats, hugs, and going for walks. I also enjoy curling up on a soft blanket. I have an adopted brother named Zack, who is a spunky rescued chihuahua. Sometimes I bay when I hear a siren go by, and Zack joins in too!

I look forward to meeting and working with you!
